Telehealth - Virtual Visits
As New York City continues to be the epi center for the COVID-19 pandemic, Flatiron Family Medical is committed to doing everything we can to ensure our members have access to their physicians during this health crisis. As we stated in our previous email, we are offering Virtual Visits (Telehealth) has an alternative to office visits.
Virtual Visits can be scheduled for COVID-19 medical issues as well as all other health concerns.
Virtual visits are similar to office visits; however, they are done remotely via phone and video synchronously. Virtual visits can be done by all our providers to discuss issues that do not require an in-office evaluation. Our staff will assess if your health concern is appropriate for a telehealth visit when you contact us.
Drs Chaudhary, Hops and Zanartu are available virtually for primary care. Dr. Hartzog is available for gynecological matters, and Dr. Mian, our dermatologist, for all things skin related. To schedule, just call our office or email nikenji@flatironfamily.com. Once the virtual visit is scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation containing a link. At the time of your scheduled appointment, click on the link and the visit will begin with your provider.
Please do not hesitate to request a virtual appointment if you are feeling ill or need to discuss any other health related issue. At this time, we are discouraging non-urgent in person office visits to protect the safety of our patients and staff. If you believe you should be seen in-person, please call the office so you can be triaged by your provider or the nurse. We must take every precaution to keep our staff and members safe amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
